I dont understand why this seems so far fetched? I only sleep 5-6 hours a night. I dont sleep 10 hours. If I drive 10 hours a day. That only makes 16 hours if I sleep the full 6. What do people normally do for the other 8 hours left in a day? Do they just sit around and watch tv? Normal people dont sleep 10 hours a day. That is way too much sleep for me.
Doing things while I am OTR(working out, staying active)??? Will it be difficult????

I think some of you need to be careful here. Stating the truth and facts may get you banned from the forum as many mindless folks simply cannot handle any form of intelligence or humor. Now put your head back in the sand so you cant see and comprehend things.

You have no idea how to manage time. Yep, driving is so easy that a caveman can do it, right? They will put anyone in a truck, but most will never make money.
Say you only drive 10 hours a day. You play your little games for 3 hours. Travel back and forth to your little game takes another hour. 2 showers a day take another hour. Eating takes another hour. Paperwork and a little truck maintenance takes another hour. Sleep 6 hours a day. How many hours do we have left? When slow shippers and receivers and traffic jams slow you down and cut in to your play time, what do you sacrifice to play your little game...the driving or the sleep?
Either way you look at it, it is highly doubtful that you would ever be a productive driver. Are you sure you want to try driving? That's a lot of money out of your pocket for you to do a career that you suck at.Longarm Thanks this. -

Deal with the expectation of playing table tennis rarely while OTR (I'm not even talking about weekly here), or look for other work, lol. You probably wouldn't be able to park anywhere near a Table Tennis club (have no idea how common those are...), so you'd have to take a cab to one from the Truck Stop/yard/etc.
What people mean about the time is, that when you get a load, you aren't schedule a daily 3 to 4 hours rec time. You get time to sleep, eat, gas n poop. Saying you only drive 10 hours means you had a day when you were just driving with nothing else going on. That doesn't happen. You have pick ups and drop offs (read around, they often take a good amount of waiting), fueling, breaks, showers, etc. Having an extra 2 to 4 hours in a day is hard enough, and you're talking about something you'd have to be lucky enough to be near, then figure out how to actually get yourself to it. Just won't happen. -
