There’s really nothing to figure out, motive is irrelevant at this point. They were off permit that all the state needs to know to hammer them.

ya but most of it is really just common sense stuff. It's like carpentry, every one of us have the ability to frame a house in. Those of us that take a few extra minutes to get the tape measure and square out will have perfectly straight walls. Those that don't, won't.

There is a big sign right before the bridge that says 14’, you can’t miss it, if you are paying attention. All bridges on I40 though Nashville are marked 14’, even if he had slipped under that one, he would have hit another before he got out of town.

He probably didn’t even measure. I got there after the fact, so I don’t know if he had a pole car or not, there wasn’t one on the scene. After seeing what happened in his rear view, he might have just kept driving for all I know.

Honestly I’m not sure what’ll happen to him, I would guess he won’t end up in prison. What would be the grounds for imprisonment? There’ll be fines and lawsuits but I’m not sure what else.

Just heard on the local news, sounds like he have had a permit but was off route. Said his permit called for coming from Arkansas and through West TN.

Sounds like they were trying to run on a different permit for a different load, as he was nowhere near where he was supposed to be. It’s not like he just made a wrong turn, he was over 100 miles off route and coming from the wrong direction.

If he hurt or killed somebody, I could see jail, but he didn’t.

About the only way I see him doing jail time is if he is unable to pay his personal fines. Could very well loose his regular license for a long time and his CDL for life.

I can show you another bridge on I40 that sustained substantial damage, and the repercussions were very minimal. The thing that helped them was the bridge only went to a private farm, and they made it though to the other side.

OK, let's try this again--I said FINANCIALLY, he's gonna get cornholed so bad he'll be able to carry around a bowling ball and six armadillos no hands for the rest of his life.

There’s usually “maximum” penalties for things and at the end of the day it’s a traffic violation. A BIG violation but still a traffic violation nonetheless.

I’m sure finding a job will be difficult.

I didn’t see the “financially” part of your post.
