And yet for now I remain unaffected. Though unlike some I am as against the mandate as I can be. They are only gonna keep pushing that is a fact.

Many who swear by elogs won't be so happy when much of what they currently do may not be allowed under new regulations .. I run elogs and other than finding a parking spot in the allowable hours the odd time it's not much of a issue yet . The day I get a speeding ticket off my elog which I see happening in the future I'll quit this once great industry
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Once the elogs become law I will agree with you but right now drivers take it upon themselves to drive for a company that uses elogs.
-
Not i yettttttt
The company im trying to get on to is an ltl company, they use elogs...i wont mind cause they do like 450 to 500 miles a day....not a problem....but when you get a load from a broker thats 830 miles and 21 hours to get there? And your not in any state that has 75 to 80 mph zones....tell me how you gonna make that with e logs -
Brokers should know the laws and its up to the driver or their employer to tell the broker how many hours the driver has.Brokers need to start coming to terms that elogs will be a reality one day in the not to distant future and quit being greedy bloodsuckers because its not working like once upon a time.

Some of the people that are in support of elogs know nothing of other segments of the industry.
I don't run 60 or 70 hrs or 3000 miles a week. But I know how I like to operate so I am well rested and the current hrs of service don't agree with that. And once I'm loaded there is no stopping for 10fordconvert, Oxbow, Al. Roper and 4 others Thank this. -
People are scared. This will change everything for a lot of people.

Just like the great savior CDL's. All we heard was how nice it would be when we gave up our Chauffeurs license and tested for the great CDL! Suppose to take all the bad drivers off the #### road, well what's keeping all the bad drivers off the road today? Not a #### thing, schools pumping out wanna be drivers with big ego's every day that couldn't put a cob handle on a file! I'm not saying ALL of them, but just look around us at what's going on. This Elog nonsense is going to be the same #### path, if there's not $$$$ involved the government is not involved. They care about no one except their greedy a sses.JimmyWells, fordconvert, QuietStorm and 10 others Thank this.

Making more with elogs than they did with paper? Who said that? It's going to be a steep learning curve for sure! Both for the company and drivers. I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it's coming so might as well prepare for it. Adapt and overcome.Oxbow, diesel drinker and nightgunner Thank this.
