Reading the weather/road conditions stated be 'windsmith' in his reply, you should have been parked!!! "pouring rain, sleet, and 32 degree temps with patches of black ice. Road spray so thick that it's like heavy fog. I'm traveling along at 45-50mph with super truckers tailgating and passing me like I'm sitting still. One of them drifted into my lane as he went by, probably because none of us could see the lines on the road." Sounds like a 'recipe' for disaster!! If we can't see the lines on the road, it's time to park!! Had to drive by 'braille' once when my windshield wipers quit in a downpour, scooted all the way right til I was running on the 'rumble strip', had my 4-ways on, got off at the very next exit!!
You will be abit rattled for awhile after something like this . But if you do not stay with it then maybe getting out is a good choice ! Where you live is in the "Lake-effect" snow area of Indiana & will be just the same for driving ! Driving local or regional will keep you in bad weather all winter . There is a trucking job on "Indeed.com" that is looking for a driver to run Texas & back . Or maybe placing a resume on different web sites will find you more what you need to keep you trucking !! Good luck in your future ....
Here is the other Thread he started about the same thing http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/crst/201377-dont-know-what-to-do-3.html
Don't know if I can sue or not but. I'm not staying with the company. I'll try my luck with cr England. My co driver an I expected a bus ticket home and a take your time but we got a yeah get back to work now type deal. I'm glad the other driver is alive but we don't care to see him again plus we lost everything in the truck Crst should be a shamed contract null and void
Don't think I said ever again gonna give myself a couple of weeks my co quit but I'm going to try an stay I guess only 3 months left. I had to drive home anyway. We could have been treated a lil better but I'm almost done imms give crst hell 4 now own tho oh an yea I'm still employed so y'all no the accident wasn't my fault
If you think/though CRST was bad you're about to learn how the word bad actually is IF you go to CRE. That wreck must have really rattled you because you're making no sense at all.
