Beautiful pictures. I have just one question. Were you taking the pictures while you were driving?

 

Those pictures must have been during the one and only snowstorm that we got this winter. It was a very dry winter. The ski resorts suffered terribly, as did the chain monkeys.

 

Donner is a piece-of-cake these days with the great crew they have working the mtn. Yeah, History Channel did piece on couple of years ago---saved it on DVR. Just wait til afternoon and you can make it without chains ....NOTICE: I said "YOU" !! ha ha I dont chain up anymore---with age comes wisdom!! You'll find me at The Alamo in Sparks waiting it out....

Does that train run during the winter time??? That would be the nicest time to see Donner Pass if you can take the train in the winter.
