    The worst training centre...only want lots of your money.They prefer new immigrants with limited english language to can blackmail and cheating and took you last dollar.If you anyway want to go on exam they give to you trailer with broken landing gear and you not pass.
    Every time you get another instructor.
    They took me almost $3000 for nothing,I go to other training centre and finish everything for $800.I was work before in Europe like trucker and not need lots of classes.

    Yet again I don't know why we're importing drivers... don't need too. Which company gave you this amazing job offer? Doubt it's a good one.

    Are you aware of the oil boom that happened here and is now very slow? Drivers of all sides of the industry were making very good money. The oil price dropped out and lots were out of work. Therefore the remaining work to be done commanded a lower wage because of simple supply and demand. More drivers competing for same work = lower pay. Oil isn't booming again, yet, and wages are still low. That's where the animosity of bringing in even more competition for available jobs is creating friction.

    One of our southern branches needed a new yard labourer. Over 400 applications in a week and this job only paid like $17/hr. Things are desperate in Alberta and a lot of people are on the verge of losing it all.

    @Srbin
    You see, add this to our current political climate with a prime minister keeps saying "we need to move away from oil" and a provincial leader in ab taxing and regulating to the point the major businesses are cancelling expansion plans or moving out of province all together.... it is not looking like a bright future at this point. Here in ontario our problem is the same, tax and regulate. Skyrocketing government debt. Our premier has a 12% approval rating here.

    A lot of my family voted liberal the last go round because they "didn't trust harper" and "he is a crook". Makes me sick. Another bad thing for me, Alberta is the only other province I want to live in, and it is under attack. People just want to earn a decent living. The world is nowhere near ready to transition away from oil. I say let the FREE MARKET determine when we move away from oil. When the price gets to a point it is more economically feasible to use alternative energy, trust me, we will. Having it forced upon us at a higher cost only places us at an economic disadvantage. Now can you see why more and more tax and regulation is not beneficial for the people? All that is happening is industry is moving out of province/country. Look at how much of the auto industry has left Ontario. All from stupid policy. The worst part about it, a whole lot of the population seems to vote liberal by default. May have something to do with the state run media - CBC. Such BS

    Edit to add.
    I am not at all considering leaving Canada for another country and renouncing my Canadian citizenship. I think Canada is a great country and want it to stay that way. I would rather fight for what I think is right rather than flee to another country where I am the new guy while watching my Canada go down the toilet from afar.

    It's just a simple fact that there is no need to import drivers. If company's paid better they would have no trouble getting drivers. People coming over for driving jobs is driving wages down. Sorry for the harshness but it's a sore spot for lots of drivers over here. Trucking is going to crap in Canada
