DAMMNN, Its just a preference thing. My wife gave a tip to her local Church, she has written checks adding up too, $22,000. I told her, the next tip, to the Church, will get her a Columbian Neck Tie.

And we wonder why the world is in the shape it is in.

So how does a basic act of human kindness get this much criticism? I will confess to tipping too much! I have never known of anyone taking anything with them to the grave. I doubt very seriously that there are any menial jobs where people are paid too much. And as for "Uneducated Jobs" you have just described most truckers!

I suppose those who don't tip are the same ones that put a wreath on the front of your truck during the Christmas holidays. Ho ho humbug!

I tip the shower attendants for a job well-done. Therefore, I don't tip all that often.

However, at a recent visit to a TA, the man there not only gave me the now-standard two towels, he gave me a third, walked me to the shower and let me inspect it before I used it, and asked if there was anything else I needed.

He got a nice tip when I left and seemed to genuinely appreciate it.

I have left a tip before for an EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN shower...But to leave a tip for every shower or truck wash or whatever that I use everyday would be stupid.

I tip limo drivers and waitresses as a matter of course but all others have to really impress me with their service in order to merit a tip.

Impressive. I rarely see a shower attendant, so therefore if I need one more towel (if the shower doesn't have 2) I have to either grab one off the cart or find a way to sneak in to where their laundry room is and grab one myself.

Me and one of my prankster friends had a canoe trip and towards the end of the trip we tipped the canoe guide....literally.

I will leave a tip for the shower attendant on occasion if the shower is exceptionally clean and if the attendant makes an effort to greet me and ask if there is anything else I need. I will always try and at least thank the attendant for a clean shower and that I appreciate the thankless job they do each day. They always appreciate that simple gesture. I appreciate Great customer service...on the other hand I deplore bad customer service and will let management know when im unhappy.
