Jakes Work and Do Not (see sentence above).
NC, I-40 Eastbound from Black Mountain.
2 Runaway Ramps (which appear useless if Brakes Fail considering all Curves prior to both [and Double Jersey Walls?] in Median).
STEEP GRADE.
Jakes, Lower Gear, and could easily Smoke Brakes with 35 mph Posted Speed.
I-26 Eastbound from Asheville, NC. FINAL DROP: STEEP, CURVY, NO RUNAWAY RAMP(S).
I've, ONCE, Smoking Trailer Brakes Eastbound at about 80K weight, in Auto-shift.

I'm a little confused, article said 4 people died, yet he was charged with 6 counts of vehicular homicide. Where'd the other 2 come from? Or am I missing something?
