Yup. I was told start at .27 cents a mile, then move to .29 after probationary period...had a 46 cent a mile linehaul run, home daily, at the time I was askin them.....Id believe the decision time was very minimal....no thank you and bub-bye...slam!!!!

I dont want say, you are not getting 10 mpg but it is unlikely. I had driven 3 different cacadia
Evolution in last two years. Driven all 60 mph they all average just little under 8. Unless you are bobtail every where you are not getting 10.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

Well it depends. I drove a 2012 Cascadia with the Detroit DD15/10 speed and managed to get 10 mpg(in spurts) but averaged 8.6 to 9.1 mpg , depending on the weight of the load and fuel. It pays to do a lot of progressive shifting.

    YMMV.;)

i also did over 9 mpg in some light loads but i was talking about average. Also there is almost 2 mpg between your truck and his. The truck i drove was 16 evolution with d12.

Even with the latest trucks, the driver controls the mpg. Owner Ops with Cascadias get better mpg's than company Cascadias, why do you think that is?

Well obviously the majority of owner/operators have their trucks dialed all the way up to "super trucker mode" and/or have other modifications done. Plus there are other factors that may come into play.
