Some of these posts say they will run you. Some say they run you out of hours and some say you sit for days. You cant sit for days and have no hours. I met a team for Quest yesterday (husband and wife). They seemed to be happy. Said they could run all the miles they wanted. Said their loads were usually loaded already and pre-planned waiting on them. They have a terminal in my home town which "might" work out for me. I am not ready to make any hasty jumps. I try to collect as much info as I can. Why would they only use one fuel tank? weight? Did they pay on time? Did they harass you ? Driver unloads? Sorry, looking for more info. United healthcare is real good insurance, from my experience. How do they choose their teams? Do they take care of equipment? Temptinfates
Then you have no experience with health care! UHC suc-s BIG TIME about the worst insurance a company can get you! Yes, it's cheap and that means on two levels. It's cost is cheap and it's plan is cheapo! I wouldn't take UHC if it was given to me! I know from living with an insurance broker who was my father and my sister is a broker also. I miss you DAD. But my sister feels the same about UHC as she does about BCBS! I also know as my company had it but after we kept riding them about it and this was from the Senior VP down to the newest driver including the office personnel we got on to a great plan with the largest hospital here in town! Cost even less that the UHC plan and had better coverage!
Well, when we had UHC, we had no problems getting Dr.s to accept it. The people who ran the Dr's offices also attested to this. I can only state my experience with it. Yours may have been totally different. But to say I have no experience with healthcare is so offbase. Temptinfates (thread not really about UHC).
I have BCBS. The only problem I have is the cost. I pay$554 a month, $25 copay for Dr visits $50 for Specialist $250 E.R. Other than the cost I havent had anything go wrong, all the Dr's here in Alabama take it. Its all how your state government regulates these companies as well a lot of people dont know that. BCBS may be good insurance here in Alabama but U.H.C may be better in Tenneesse. Im always looking to lower my cost so any hints here will be looked at with great detail.
my wife and I ran team for Quest about 7 or 8 years ago, when they only had about 20 or 30 trucks. As a matter of fact, we started with them when they started the company. If anyone ran out of hours, it was because they were lazy and/or didn't know how to run a log book, instead of letting the book run them. The top priority was the load, not the log book. We ran hard and they were good people to work for. Back then it was a small company and didn't have any ######## policies and chain of command "passing the buck". It was about getting the job done. Jeff Turner was our dispatcher,a really honest guy. yes, you read it right, I used "dispatcher" and "honest" in the same sentence.
So, are you saying things changed and went downhill from there? A dispatcher can be honest and still slick you up-lol. Sometimes silence is deadly. The way this team talked, they seem like a good outfit. So, I do a little investigation and I find some less than positive comments. I cannot make any hasty decisions right now. Just trying to see.. I've never driven an automatic...sort of against my grain. Someone said they only use one fuel tank... Someone said they run you illegal... someone said you sit all the time... up is down and sideways is straight ahead, lol Temptinfates
Well???? What happened? I am researching them now. I read that after the first year they pay your health Ins. Why is there is always negative,,,,more than positive. Is there not a good company in this country at all. If your a Team, than I figure drive for a company that uses mainly teams...if your an IC than sign on with a company that uses only IC's... If your a company driver and a solo at that than you have more to choose from. I just want to find a company that does what it advertises and than what it states. Peace
