"He was really smart" ... okay. Me thinks a toxicology report will shed some light on this non-mystery. We don't know if he was upright and moving around when he was hit or lying in the road looking like a piece of trash or something else that fell out of an earlier vehicle. The family wants closure? Then accept your son had a problem huffing paint or whatever else he was on at the time, and it finally cost him the ultimate price, and move on.
I'm growing tired of everybody looking for someone else to blame and sue and ruin their life for being in a bad place at a bad time and having to deal with a messed up mind of someone else, and somehow being made responsible for the demise of this messed up individual they don't even know. -
"Motorists reported that 23-year-old Egan, who was clad only in black shorts, was lying down in a southbound lane near South Green River Road, waving at them, before someone ran over him and kept on driving".
And not one of these alleged "motorist" attempted to take him off of the freakin interstate. Is it normal for people in evansville to sit on the interstate and wave at people? What a weird story. Clearly he was on drugs or suicidal. Either way full blame to the family -
i can remember when the kids were young, the wife and i watched over the first born like he was the "golden child"....then when we had the second, third, etc......i'd tell them, "go play in traffic"...
that's what his folks must have said to him.
