Yea that's what it said on my last earnings statement, which was right before they quit mailing them out but they have started back mailing them out now.

If you withdraw before retirement age then you must pay the tax on the gains.
I bank at US Bank and they have some good ones to go with. When the market crashed a few years ago mine actually made money. -

Thanks for all the replies... I kind of understand now and there are pros and cons to each
Per diem
More money per week
Less Gross yearly income
Could (potentially) affect loan requests since perdiem doesn't show up so you appear to make less per year
SSI will be lower for the same reason when you need it
So really, no offense to anyone here, but if you are older, its probably best to go with the perdiem. If you are younger, you should not take the perdiem to prepare yourself better for the future (if you can afford it of course). Im 34 with a wife and 2 kids. I think I will leave it alone because I can still make ends meet without the perdiem credits on my weekly check.
