He wasn't. I think the comment was directed more toward AS's avatar.

it sounds like this outfit will dispatch you and not pay your empty miles and on duty time. loaded miles only?
if you think you dont deserve to earn a good living and you wanna pay for their carb compliant equipment enjoy your miserable life

They will deadhead you from Wenatchee, WA to Springfield, OR without pay. That's just over 400 miles. About 8 hours of driving. They also don't pay their drivers for tarping a load.

You should have ended your post after the second sentence. Good question contained therein.
However, the third sentence contents were judgmental and uncalled for.

I hope you didn't take my assumption as an indication that I thought you're lacking in experience. That wasn't my intent.
I'm not sure what, exactly, a site manager's duties are and/or if Gardner has a policy pertaining to providing information and answers to questions presented in a discussion forum such as TTR, but it would be helpful and appreciated if you could respond to some of the questions to clarify the facts and dispel rumors.

Regardless, I wish you the best of success as site manager.

What a site manager does is dispatch a dedicated fleet at one of Gardners customers. In this case I dispatch about 20 trucks. I have been here a very short while so Im sure I am not the person to comment on payroll. Most of my drivers are hourly, local workers

.....yes it all depends on the driver of course ,as for me i have a family to raise so i don't mess around long if im not makin a buck the company or anything about the operation is worthless to me ,it pays off to be resourceful when lookin into any trucking company ,some drivers just hop on any train and later find out ,they can't make a buck with the company ...no ones value is based on $ ....but as a man on a mission for my babies and me ? ....i never sell myself short
I want as much as possible from what i do for a living ...
