When I worked for them I had plenty of time to make my runs. Of course this was all pre- CSA and all. I didn't have to take any unnecessary risks or employ bad driving habits. Evidently though things have changed since my time there. When I was with them we rarely ran west of Minnesota. Did a lot of Pillsbury products back east. One of the things I did like- I rarely had to fingerprint a load. It was either drop and hook or receiver unload.
Once I was late getting to a drop. James docked me $500 for missing an appointment. I later found out that he had no right to do that but by then I couldn't do anything about it. However I never did miss another appointment- with them or any other carrier!
Don't work for Lessors Inc .

Joseph, did the health benefits change while you were gone or are they still bad?
-
They are better, not great, but they've improved.Bumper Thanks this.

The types of hauls have improved too a little. We have a lot more long haul from the east to the west and vice versa than we used to. Since I came here in '07, they've had them, but now they are more frequent. The trucks have always been new, but we've been getting more Paccar than Freightliners it seems, just got a bunch of T680s in, we have the Pete 579, KW T700, a couple Pete 386 tractors too.
-
Joseph,Cummin or Paccar engines?
-
Paccar motors. I like them, some people don't.
-
$500 to miss an appointment, eh?
That explains a lot.
Definitely surprised then Lessors hasn't killed anyone in the last 2 years, especially considering the tailgating I saw in Wisconsin. But according to their CSA, hasn't happened--in the last 2. One of their tickets in February was 1) following too close and 2) speeding 15 or more over.
Good for 45 points right there.
Setting themselves up for a walloping lawsuit with that Driver Safety score, IMO. 76.7%. And for worse. Wiping out a family. Terrible accidents happen every day. Some you can sorta see coming. -
Does Lessor's still take away your insurance if you don't meet mileage requirements for the month?

One good thing about Joe. He is one heck of a recruiter.

I've been here just over 3 years. I love it here. We have real good equipment, APU's and inverters on all trucks, 2007-2010 Freightliners and getting a bunch of KW T660's. And the 2007's are almost all gone. All the trailers are new, We have EZ pass and CD players with jacks for Aux input. I run real good miles here. I'm happy. The insurance has a bit to be desired. But all in all Lessors is strong. My email is [email protected]. I can help, I have an iPhone so I'll get your email right away. It's good here.
Milkman719 Thanks this. -
So you see a few drivers tailgating and that means a big accident with this company is
just around the next corner. If CSA scores
are such an important indicator of the
Probability of a crash by any particular motor
carrier how do you explain that accident that
involved Wal Mart and Tracy morgan recently?
SWIFT has a satisfactory CSA score, so does
CRST and a lot of other companies yet they are
involved in countless fatal accidents every year.
The CSA modual data is skewed in favor of the
larger companies and is not a reliable indicator
of crash involvement by any particular carrier
Especially in regards to smaller companies. Your
repeated attacks against Lessors Inc. displays
your prejudice against this company and your
ignorance of flaws in the CSA and the way its
data is used. Heartland Express has been
involved in 8 fatal accidents in the last 24
months yet it has one of the best CSA scores
for a carrier of its size. Can you explain this
contradiction in your expert opinion on the
potential of a motor carrier to be involved in
any type of DOT recordable accident?joseph1135, truckinmike1984 and Bumper Thank this.
