I haven't seen much activity at all in the scale houses I have passed in the past few days.
I shut down just a little early today so I could pass the one 20 miles up the road at 0400 tomorrow,
Better safe than sorry.

Well, I made it through the blitz without getting stopped. Kinda wish it wouldn't be over... its been nice not having all the rolling trash on the road, also seemed to be less A holes out. Well I guess they will all come out of hiding tomorrow.

only 2 of our 10 trucks got stopped, mine and a coworker. All they did was glance at my papers and wave me, coworker got the once over twice and sent on his way

I only hit 2 open scales. Boise Port Of Entry and Marsing, ID on 95. Saw nothing.

Possibly but remember that pool of 12 of your peers are also the same folks who came up with MATT (Mothers Against Tired Truckers) and all the other lobbyist groups that spend millions getting congress to pass these BS laws. To them trucks have no right to be on the road and everything can be delivered by train.

Well for me I finished up my last trip Tuesday morning. I did see Kansas MCE officers on I-135 north of Wichita pulling random trucks into the rest area and doing inspections. On my way down to Tulsa on Thursday evening they were still doing the same at the rest areas. Once I got down to the Oklahoma border northbound Kansas on I-35 looked pretty busy, lots of MCE officers around the parking lot. Oklahoma with their new super coop was close and had construction barrels completely blocking the exit into it, which is fine by me, I get a red light there every time, even bobtail then they stop every truck on the scale and you sit for up to a minute while they're dial-up connection checks your companies ISS number so on a busy day you can loose 10 minutes or more waiting in line.
I'll get a full Level 1 on Monday from the DOT here in Missouri before proceeding with the State Police escorts. They require this on all super loads. -
Something and someone has got to move it to and from the train to where ever.. 72 hr blitz ? Red lights and green lights nothing otherwise yet.. Landed in the shop yesreday. Still there today..

If my last 30 minutes home were in some big city where people like that existed, I'd say you're right. Around here, though, it's mostly farmers (who truck), farm hands (who truck), truckers, and families of people who truck. Facing a jury of my peers in my county (which I'd be pretty darned close to in my last 30 minutes of my drive home) over something as silly as this, I'm not worried.

Let the idiot's from MATT and other anti-truck groups jump in there mini vans and go to the train stations and p/u there goods.
