Just got home from 4 days out.

Ran a 3 state area, I guess about 1500 miles.

Passed lots of scales, most were closed or just a scalemaster, no troopers.

Didn't get pulled in any of them, bypassed as usual.

Didn't see any scales with any action at all.

Busiest I saw was exit 23 southbound on I-81 in TN. This is a training facility I've heard. Always busy.
Lots of trucks out back but scale closed and bypassing everyone, middle of the day on Wednesday.

I did MI-GA-SC-PA-MI. Everywhere was business as usual, but lots of inspections at rest areas in WV and PA.
Also in Wixom, MI, near my yard, troopers were roaming streets and taking trucks to an inspection area set up at a carpool lot.

Wednesday i80 scale in Iowa west of Des Moines had a 7-8 DOT and trooper cars in it, looked like they had a few trucks in back getting inspection. Scale west of Omaha had trucks lined up all the way down to interstate. Luckily I got green light on both. Also had some kind of camera set up by Hastings Ne scenic overpass on westbound side. Looked like they were pulling guys over left and right.

I think it was the Collinsville, IL scale SB I-55 I saw a couple of trucks parked on the ramp getting their tires changed today.

The camera by Kearney is one of the AI cameras that takes a pic if you’re holding your phone and/or not wearing your seatbelt and sends the pic to a trooper up ahead.

You mean they have a camera up on a pole pointed downward? I never heard of that one.

The past 5 or 6 years the blitz has been a show tune with nothing much to show for it.
But even before that, I seldom got pulled in during that time.

I ran Denver to So Cal to Phoenix. All scales I passed were either closed or just weighing. I didn’t see any of them doing inspections.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
