All good reasons to use the carbon less loose leaf pages. An employer can ask for previous logs before dispatching the driver on another load, especially when like the O/P is in the terminal every day. The 14 day rule applies to OTR driver that don't get to the home terminal very often. All in the little green bible.

Ask your boss what you're spose to do if the DOT wants to see your log book. Besides if he fires you for not running illegal on certain loads you'll have the proof, keep your carbon copies.

Use a triplicate log book and give him one original and one copy, keep the third for yourself.

you could always call your local DOT office (in my state, it's the state police) and tell them, what else?

he must be getting audited and needs to make some changes.

i'd too suggest, you look for new employment.

don't bother reporting him later, it'll be too late and considered sour grapes.

Continue doing what is your legal requirement. If he discharges you, which I doubt, contact the nearest Federal Labor Relation Board. At your appointment with them ask about contacting the Federal DOT Enforcement office for your area. In some cases if you file with another Federal agency the Labor Board can not help you then. Don't fool around with the state agency, use the Feds. You have to have a factual case to pursue any action, not just a threat from the company.

Anytime you need to retain copies of anything I recommend the App Camscanner. I was checking in at a receiver and the guy in front of me was being told the office lost his papers! I scanned all my pages in 40 seconds before giving them to that receiver...
