Here in Florida, they will drop you down to a class e license for letting dot card expire and suspend your license if you don't let them know. Even then if you have medical problems, they may request you redo your driving test and all the knowledge test and other written test be taken again. I had back problems and had my dot expire, then they had the nerve to question my ability to drive and had to take a driving test in my car, to prove I could drive, then they came back and said I had to redo the whole testing to qualify for my cdl with hazmat. An they were only going to give me thirty days to do it. I couldn't , cause I was still having medical problems. So I took the e-license and said no way. Thank-fully my job wasn't totally depended on this requirement. Good Luck !!!
