    Now don't tell us you don't keep them for a year for tax purposes . How do carriers verify the perdiem they pay ? Don't they keep records for a year ?

    I keep them for the year and many in the past.

    However, they are not the only way to verify the per diem.

    I reread your post . You didn't tell them you didn't have them . You told them you only had to keep them 7 days . They weren't very smart if they just accepted that .

    So what.

    2 years later, no reason to have had them either. Told them I had shredded that years tax support information as well the month before. The time for amended returns had ended.

    They never sent a supeona or anything. Called me on the phone.
