A fix it ticket on a DOT inspection form is a violation. So is a warning. Doesn't have to involve a fine. If there's any written record of any kind that has a violation, warning, fix it ticket, etc., it goes against you.
Just because your company offers incentives or whatever, if it doesn't say "no violations found" then it goes on yours and the company's record. So you're staying that your record is stellar, but if DOT issued a fix it ticket, it's got negative marks on it.Just passing by Thanks this. -
Alright guy, have it your way...I'm telling you my experience....The equipment I've been driving has been top of the line. My license is stellar....get a grip....

This being paid for clean inspections has not been an industry standard all that long. Regrettably it is part of the changing landscape of this industry. When I first started out driving as you said you as a driver were expected to stay and run legal. There are so many steering wheel holders driving trucks today the carriers are looking for anything they can do to try to get these guys to run legal and do those pre and post trip inspections.

Most I ever got was a company with a bad score. I passed two in two months both Level 2. But they paid--
Level 3) $25
Level 2) $50
Level 1) $100
Most give you $25 for any passed. Many give you nothing, and will take your safety bonus too boot if you fail lol. -
Thanks to all our company drivers in Texas who keep getting hit, passing an inspection is a $100.
Passed a level 2 last week. -
Isn't that the CVSA sticker which tells you that you past an inspection with no problems found?
It doesn't mean you won't get inspected again. -
It costs 10 bucks to view your PSP online. Can't remember the website but I found it here on a different thread. If there was any kind of paperwork issued, there were points gained.

Yes, and yes, you still could get pulled in. But, after I get a new sticker, I've gone months without getting pulled in.

Can a driver obtain their own PSP record?
Yes. A driver can obtain a copy of their PSP record through the PSP online service at any time using this link. Drivers may also obtain their own information free of charge from FMCSA by submitting a Privacy Act request.Just passing by Thanks this.
