DOT needs a wake up call

    Truckers pay exorbitant amount of fuel taxes, but the DOT staff try to ignore their needs. I constantly see overflowing Rest Areas on every Interstate Highway. But what do DOT staff do? Pave more parking? Put down limerock on shoulders for overflow trucks? Heck no, they just put up signs like these. Call your state leaders, governors and state senators to get this problem solved.     Here in SW Arkansas, those signs used to get knocked down at fast as they put them up. Been a longtime since they bothered with putting them up again. But on the rural ramps around here the bears pretty much leave the parked trucks alone, as long as they get well off of the ramp lanes.
