Yeah, but isn't a new entry audit just a kind of look see at your paperwork etc. to make sure everythings in order ? I mean, they're there to help you, right ? Not fine you and send you to the gallows.

Exactly,..........There is no reason to spend a bunch of money on any kind of rip off service leading up to it,..

Like I said earlier,...A simple call to your local State Patrol office is simple and free,...Any of the Officers are more than willing to answer any question you may have,....

At least that was my experience 4 years ago,...

Well I received a call from the state police and he told me when he will be out i said I'll have to see if I can be in that day and I was basically told that I will but I didn't have to because I am leased on to a company I had to inactivate my dot number til I go on my own and I have to run at lease one trip and call them to set it up

from readong all your post i am thinking you just love to spend money. i really dont see you doing very well with this mindset. your running one truck not 10000. its not rocket science. so many people make this much harder then it need be.

as stated this audit is set explicitly to help you figure out what needs to be done. they will help u with anything u need to do. you are not graded or fined for anything. so why the #### would you spend money paying someone to tell you what they will tell you for free? if you really feel the need to give away money then mail it to me and i will tell u what to do, or mabey thats where to go...

you sure seem to have alot of problems dealing with people and companies. after enough of that we pretty much assume its you, not them thats the problem.

Once again, your post missed the target as usual...But I am not surprised.
Money I spend is my own business....I bought this rig with CASH. Not a loan.
Not many can do that - I have no monthly debt/bill on it.
It can sit up against the fence if I don't feel like running....

Now that I got that out of the way,
My question here was to ask about assistance with a DOT audit.
All of the answers I received (except this one) were rather helpful.
For example, I was not aware that WI has a pamphlet I can get....

it doesnt miss the point at all. why pay when the whole purpose of it is to show you how to do it for free?

it points to your business sense. you have double into that truck then its worth. you still have no clue what your going to do with it and no company in the world is good enug to deal with you. it shows us a prtty solid picture of what your like in my opinion.

I work the rig the way I want and when I want. I don't need to chase a monthly payment.
Once again, your comments missed the original question.

Obviously you have nothing to contribute here to this topic...

The first audit is really nothing to worry about.

    1. Have a drivers file for every driver.
    2. Driver completed application.
    3. Verified driver history.
    4. Pre employment drug test.
    5. Participate in Random testing pool.
    6. Have a drug and alcohol policy in place.
    7. Log books.
    8. Vehicle Inspection files.

Most of this is available from JJ Keller.
The drug testing and such is available in most trucking associations.

Perfect.....I have all of these in place already. Points are indeed assessed to this audit and I am working towards a point-free evaluation...they may not be critical but they still are important to me.

Most of the auditors will not access points in the first audit if they see an attempt to properly maintain files.

It really makes no sense to spend money on this to verify, but that is your decision.
