i believe your vision has to be at least 20/40 in EACH eye, you can wear glasses/contacts.

to the other poster who lost their long form---if you still work for the same company, they should give you a copy of yours. It is still yours if you work there. Now if you don't, I doubt they'll share it. you can have a copy of the long form, but the short form (card) should be an original.

 

I passed the physical. I was measured to have 20/15 in each eye with glasses. Without I am about 20/60.

There really are not any prescribed meds that would exclude you from driving. Although if you have a history of seizures, you may run into a problem.

High blood pressure is checked closely. I think if you are over 140/80 (not sure about the bottom number for sure), you can fail a physical, but usually you can be put on meds to bring that down. If you are already on bp meds, you still have to meet the number.

Most meds correct or almost correct a problem you have......the bigger issue is whether you have any untreated conditions that need treatment.

 

140/90 is the threshold.

What catches my eye are suspicious people. I had my D.O.T. test at school and have talked with the H.R. Dept. where I am going to work and it sounds like the exam is going to be different than the D.O.T. exam I had for school. SO.................like other LAW ABIDING citizens, I'm just curious. I have nothing to do but wait so, I'm curious. Does anyone have a real answer?

 

Here's the real deal. Do nothing and have nothing to worry about. I know you didn't want to hear that but it's true.
