I've had a c-pap for just over 5 years. Took a few weeks to get used to it. I use the nose pillow type mask. Now I can't sleep without it. Easy-peasy. However, my machine does not have a smart card. I've visited the sleep center where I had my study and got my machine over 5 yrs ago. They recommended a new machine. With my insurance I think my cost would be between $400-$500. However, I read here I need a machine that can run off battery power for up to 10 hrs. Any more info on that?
I'm scheduled for Roehl training June 11th in Appleton. Physical here near my home May 7th. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before the physical. -
its either battery power or have a 12 volt inverter that can run your cpap machine.
If your lucky and get one of the 07 freightliners that have a tri-pac apu and a inverter you are good to go.
Your main concern is you need a cpap that will record how much you use it, to
show roehl that you are in compliance.
Also roehl told me I have to provide a battery back-up for my cpap, Ive talked to other drivers that are on a cpap at roehl and they didnt have to have a battery
back-up.So I guess Im the only driver that bought one.grusco Thanks this.
