My Doc just advised me to start taking asprin, he said baby asprin is fine, keeps the blood thinner, reduces chances of heart attack and stroke.

Being in the truck will not help much on the weight issue. It will add to it. Start to eat healthy and there are exercises you can do to help. Step ups's on your tractor steps, walk around the truck/trailer, etc etc.

Your going to laugh but here goes. If you have some Viagra take it 4 hours before the physical. It lowers BP. People who already have low BP can't take it for that reason. No coffee and no water. The whole purpose of the BP medication diuretic is to get rid of water in your blood stream which raises BP.

Get to the doctors office 1/2 before your appointment and take a brisk walk. ANY physical activity will lower your BP on the spot.

Next time you are getting ready for a physical don't wait till the night before to prepare for it. Give yourself a reasonable length of time to get in better physical and get your weight and BP to where it should be. Not hard if I can do it at my age anybody can.

CHILL man! Remember there are hundreds of thousands of drivers who pass these tests every year. If you don't have anything wrong with you, you will be fine. And if you DO have something wrong with you, it is best to find out now, then do something about it.

This whole road you are starting down, is likely to be something entirely new and different to you. Relax and go with the flow. (And I don't mean the Flo that sells insurance, or our own Flo from the diner!):biggrin_25525:

Revatio is cheaper than Viagra and works the same. Take about 20mg. of either, daily, for a few days before a physical and it will lower your blood pressure.

Take an aspirin now and another in the morning.

    Very good advice, but...

I have a blood pressure wrist cuff, and I notice that after I eat something my pressure goes down.
Drink a lot of water before a pee test and it will be very dilute, and they will suspect you are trying to hide something. That alone could fail you.

No coffee (caffeine or other stimulating things) is the only good advice in your post.

Aspirin is a blood thinner and can help. I suspect it would take a bit more than a baby size for a few days to help very much. And make sure it is pure aspirin, not a product that also includes caffeine or other drugs (such as Excedrin).
