Hello again drivers I just want to take a moment to let you know that DOT has made a mandatory body fat test part of the DOT physical now so make sure you eat healthy I always like to eat some kind veggies and fruit with dinner and then I will do a couple of walking laps around the truck stop parking lot this also keeps the arteries in your body flowing properly.

Where did you see this? Body fat tests are not accurate because muscle weighs more.

Scroll down to #71 and you'll plainly see there is no requirement- yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see one in the future, though.

Whether there's a requirement or not, though, getting healthy is a very good thing for anyone.

I don't have any paper to back it up, it was told to me by my doctor when I went to re cert for my physical 2 months ago. That is where I heard it and saw the posters for it. If this is not true please tell me where I can find more info. Thanks

Maybe the outpatient clinics like Concentra medical haven't started requiring it yet, I would do a little more research first. However anything that involves DOT wouldn't surprise me one bit

Well... because he heard it in a truckstop, that's why!!

The doctor, who read that "something" might be on the horizon, was repeating something that wasn't in effect yet, or at all, or even formally discussed... and then went to a truckstop to ask trucker's opinions, and see what they had heard... and sure enough, the drivers at the Subway restaurant in the Pilot in North Las Vegas confirmed that they had heard the same thing... so it must be the Gospel.

I have heard it tossed around as far as the FMCSA goes, even for CSA2010 but it has not passed (yet). Maybe it is your companies requirement to check for that. It is possible some company may decide to do that, but as far as law, I couldn't find it either.
