One other thing, I am not sure how they will take you BP, but if they do it like in the first minute or two of sitting down, ask them to wait a minute or two more. Something that I read once, said that to take someone's BP they are supposed to allow your body to rest for a few minutes before taking it.

With regards to the "health" issue;still,I have to let you know about the sleep apnea thing,so your not surprised.

If your neck size is,I believe over 17in.(mine is 19)you may have to take a sleep study someday.It is all figured in to what your BMI is.

They do not care how many hours you have spent in a gym,etc.,they go by a chart,and that is,what it is.

It is not yet a law that I know of,but if it is not,I believe it soon will be,IMO.

 

This is good advice. I always test high when they do it right away. Between the exercise getting there and my hate/fear/stress of doctors I do terrible. Give me ten minutes to relax and my numbers often drop as much as 20.

 

Walking in the office will raise your blood pressure. Try to rest 15-20 minutes if you can. Avoid caffeine that morning.

About 2 hours before the physical, take you a 325mg aspirin. Aspirin acts as a blood thinner and will drop your BP some. Just as long you get below 140/90, you'll get a 2 year card.

You have nothing to fear about the Vicoden. Take the bottle with you, but you probably won't even take it out of your pocket.

On the physical form it asks you various questions. To CYA I would answer the recent surgery question with the root canal and they'll know you had Vicoden.

The drug test lady won't even ask you any prescription info. Vicoden stays in your system about 3-4 days. If you fail, the medical review officer will call you. Just explain the situation. He might say okay or he might ask for you to send the bottle. You have proof, so it's no biggie.

Now turn your head and cough.

 

I have "White coat syndrome." That means my bp skyrockets when taken at a doctors office, but if I take it at home it's great. I finally found if I did deep breathing while they took my bp I lowered my number by twenty points. Learn some relaxation techniques like deep breathing and it might help.

 

You sure they were not checking for hernia?
