My mom was diagnosed 30 years ago, and is medically managed, without much more than a small dose of insulin every day.... my dad was diagnosed closer to 15 years ago...... Cured? No. Managed? Yes..... in both cases.
And that’s bull ####. Type 2 diabetes is fully reversible with diet Changes and physical activity. A medical doctor won’t necessarily tell you the straight info because he/she wants to treat you, not cure you. They don’t make money curing you. They would rather sell you medicine and string you along and keep you coming back. It’s very simple. Before you put anything in your mouth, ask yourself this question. Is it meat, fish, seafood, eggs, nuts, seeds, or vegetables? Stop eating grains, sugars, and starches and get out and move. I know this first hand. It takes effort. After time there won’t be enough medicine on this planet to control your sugar. All that medicine becomes ineffective after time. Then they put you on insulin which is very expensive and causes even more weight gain, which makes the problem worse. Type 2 diabetes is a choice. If you want to sit there on your ### and eat crap food and pop pills then go for it. But it’s not “that’s that.
I have no expertise in medicine, but I did take a couple courses related to healthcare at a university. There is so much quackery on the internet, and so many people that believe it. You want to get your information from reputable sources, say, from medical encyclopedias.
You guys don’t seem to understand what a “cure” means. If you must continue a particular diet to keep a disease away, that is not a cure. It’s a treatment. Yes, it may go into remission. Keyword: remission. Again, not a cure. On the other hand, people who do not have the disease do not need to follow any diet and they’ll be fine.
That’s what happens when people get on the internet and have no critical thinking skills. People believe everything said on the internet. Bottomline is to get your sources from reputable sources and not some nutjob spewing nonsense over the internet.
Type two diabetes is a choice.. End of story. If you don’t want it, you don’t have to have it. Don’t make excuses for poor lifestyle choices. People who are like athletes, active, and eat healthy do not develop type two diabetes. Type one diabetes now that’s a different story, it’s genetic and there’s nothing you can do about it other than take medication. If you’re diagnosed prediabetic or type two diabetic you can take complete control of your health and get rid of it It’s not a matter of whether we labeled it a cure or control. LOL show me somebody who’s a marathon runner, or a vegetarian, or just someone who eats an average healthy diet it does light exercise 2 to 3 days a week who has type two diabetes. They don’t exist.
I’m still waiting for a reputable source about there being a cure for diabetes like you and others have said or implied.
