If you needs drugs as a crutch to keep yourself from being stressed, or depressed, or whatever, trucking is NOT for you.

I'm on an anti-depressant. Never been an issue, at my physical.

Some people need crutches. Nothing wrong with using something that you need to function properly.

Ask your doctor if you are on any medicines that are forbidden by the FMCSA. The doctor can also change your prescriptions if they interfere with trucking. For example, if you're on an allowable anxiety med, it can be changed so that you take them before bed instead of during the day.

OTR might be too stressful though. You could do local Class B jobs like delivery or garbage truck.

I wonder what insurance will think. That's usually something that is scrutinized. Every carrier loves to blame insurance for decisions they don't want to make.

Sorry but it's not just foreign drivers acting stupid, plenty of American born idiots do the same thing.

SH** happens..and healthy drivers are no longer healthy. Sometimes they get better and are healthy again. Most, however, can never be healed. And will need medication for the rest of their lives.

Should they be banned from trucks? NO. They still gotta make a living. Bills don't like it when they lose your revenue.

Some people get sick that they shouldn't be working. They put others at risk of being hurt. They're a danger. But try filing for disability.

If you can work. You're expected to work.

Most have had their careers a long time. Then they get sick. And they go to the hospital. And get sent home with no answers.

Doctors have no clue amd don't even bother looking.

    Antidepressants.

    Not psychotics.
