Everyone I know has been treated for depression and has taken a prescription at one time or another. It's not like getting high. It's a health thing. No embarrassment or stigma for being treated for depression.

Prescription medications taken per a doctor's orders to treat bona fide medical conditions are far from a crutch.Rideandrepair, Pickleball, snowwy and 1 other person Thank this.

I was going to say things, but you drivers are doing a great job on INFO. ThanksRideandrepair and RockinChair Thank this.

The medicine is better compared to a cast instead of a crutch. A crutch is used to compensate weakness, a cast keeps everything in place just in case while the broken bone heals. Hopefully you can taper off. Whether or not to mention it on a physical is up to you. The questions on the physical are redundant. If everyone was truthful, they’d have to check half the boxes. Good Luck.

I see easily 5 or 10 drivers everyday who definitely need some meds ..... getting so triggered and mad ....

Don't even try until you've been off all these meds for at least 6 months.

He's not taking narcotics. Which only require a few days. Not 6 months. That's seizure meds. Which he's also not taking. He's probably good to go right now. On the current meds.Last edited: Jul 27, 2025

He also needs to show that he's not RELIANT on them anymore.Wargames Thanks this.

Why? That's the point of medications is that they work and you rely on them to work.
