The way most of those are prescribed, that prevents one who is taking them from driving . . . those aren't an 'as needed drug' like a pain killer would be.

 

Exactly, pain killers are what you're thinking of. Anxiety, bipolar medal... All taken DAILY

 

I did use an exaggerated example, but pain killers, and drugs that makes you drowsy are more typical

 

A drunk is far more dangerous, The pot head is moving sow at best, but neither should be driving. And factuallt Booze takes more lives off and on the highway.

 

And ILLEGAL if you don't have a script. It's invalid 360 degrees man.

 

Don't get why someone has to do either... drink or smoke pot...I never saw the need for a crutch to get through life's problems. If you really need help...PRAY...it works better than any drug. It lasts longer too ...like an eternity!

 

But not when they have the availability and know-how to get in and try to operate a vehicle that is 70ft. long , bends in the middle, and weighs 40 tons.

 

There are many, many more drunks behind the wheel of four wheelers than there are behind the wheels of trucks. Driving a rig with a BAC of .04 is illegal. We all know that drunk driving is bad, and it has been cracked down on more, but there are always people that have to break the rules and do stupid stuff.

 

Not all of us are religious, even if we don't drink or smoke dope. That's another choice we all have.

 

Still comes down to, if you wanna smoke dope, do drugs, fine. Just not in this profession. Besides, someone needs to flip the burgers i buy...LMAO
