So you're just being obtuse for the sake of being obtuse? If you are too sick or too injured to drive a truck, you do not meet the qualification to operated a commercial motor vehicle.. its not that hard to understand for people who aren't just being moronic.

Actually it's you that can't understand that one has to meet specific qualifications, or have specific issues to disqualify for a medical card.
I understand how the law and regulations work. Obviously you don't.

I’m gonna call my primary doctor where I get my dot done first thing in the morning and report back. All the reading I’ve done and all the dot Physicals I’ve taken I’ve never had anyone push on my muscles or ask me to stand on 1 foot or anything like that....

My conclusion that the OP would likely not get recertified is one borne of 45 years experience in these matters, as a driver, recruiter and supervisor.
You can read the official manual all you wish. There is no manual on earth that can cover every eventuality. Indeed, the entire reasoning for the DOT registry was because of the "doctor shopping" that was going on. I am sure in the right set of circumstances he would get his card, even without going to the office to actually be examined. But it would be considerably harder now.

I have driven with a badly sprained ankle, hard to walk on , but drove just fine, a cabover, There are many vets who are getting disability checks, it is easier for them to drive th an walk,

I have. When I was in the Teamsters the physical was done at a hospital by an MD and they really checked.

I mean like I asked, " Are we trying to get into astronaut training or just drive a mixer?"

I called the doctor and he recommended waiting until like the week before my physical is due..... he said as long as I don't show up with a cane im ok. However, that's not even correct as far as the DOT is concerned

    ZVar Thanks this.

That don't give us old folks much hope.

And I just remembered a driver I once worked with. He had an accident that did something to his left foot. He walked with foot at an angle. For a few years. Till he had the money and insurance to get it fixed.
