DOT Physical

If you are a company driver, they'll cover the cost and you'll have a fresh D.O.T physical for up to 2 years. That is unless you're afraid you won't pass a D.O.T right now.

 

Most reputable outfits require you do a new physical for them, even if your previous physical was done the day before. Its an insurance/liability type deal.

 

Also.... The drug test doesn't convey. You have to take a new one.

The following companies will accept your current DOT Medical Card and not require a new physical. Only a urine test will be required.

If your worried about not passing some companies will find you a clinic near the house so you can make sure you pass before heading to orientation.

 

Yeah most will require a new test and make sure you don't fail one or you will be blackballed just like me. Mine was under DOT standards and still I cant find a job. But lots of people on the forum are supportive and give good suggestions.

 

Don't take this wrong but unless you have a untreated or out off control such as diabetes, sleep apnea etc it isn't real hard to pass a dot physical.
