Man I almost slipped up and told them about having viral menengitis when I was 25. Can you ####ing imagine the ####storm that would have caused? I'd be getting a cat scan right this very minute. Actually, I wouldn't be. I can't afford one. I'd just not be heading to get my CDL in a few weeks lol

DOT doctor is only for getting the physical. Ask your personal doctor personal medical questions. Or maybe ask him about your friend. DOT doctors pass or fail your for the DOT physical, don't go looking for trouble.paul_4lp and crazybread Thank this.

You might look at a non-Tylenol version of the sleep remedy. Most over-the-counter sleep medications use diphenhydrmine. That same chemical is sold as sleep medicine and also allergy relief. Your liver doesn't need one bit more Tylenol/acetaminophen that necessary. Typical sleep inducing dose of diphenhydrmine is 50 mg. Which is the PM portion of 2 Tylenol PM, normal dose of Zzzquil/Nyquil, or Benadryl allergy medicine. The diphenhydrmine is available as liquid or tablet. Just buy what's ever cheaper or more convenient. The allergy medicine and sleep remedy is the same thing. They just call the sinus clearing effect a side-effect if the medicine is sold for sleep and the sleep inducing effect a side-effect if it's sold as allergy relief. The liquid medicine acts faster while the tablets come on slower but last a bit longer for the same dose.
BTW, my OCD isn't caused by any medicine but it only took me 100 hours of research to learn that.
TROOPER to TRUCKER and RedRover Thank this. -
Generally the DOT knows what the DOT doctor tells them and what you write on your DOT forms. It's your job to protect your license.RedRover Thanks this.

Yea I take 4 benadryl to get to sleep. The Tylenol is for the rather regular migraines I get, since the menengitis several years back. All things I completely neglected to tell the doc who did the physical lol

If someone was not careful they might carry the allergy medicine in the truck which might cause fewer questions than "Extra-Strength Sleepy Time" if DOT ever searched your truck.RedRover Thanks this.

Better than meth and a glass pipe and razor blades I suppose loltscottme Thanks this.

Does aspirin relieve your migranes? Aspirin has fewer side-effects and almost no liver damage. Tylenol can start causing liver damage just a little above the maximum daily dose. I switched back to aspirin for occasional headaches. If I was taking one daily I'd try to avoid tylenol, although I used that on occassions for years. Few other medications start causing serious problems so little above the max daily dose as Tylenol. I'm not a hypochondriac or herbal medicine hippy. I like my medicine tested and well known.

Tbh the only thing that really works on my migraine is caffeine. Exedrine migraine does the trick. For sleep though, it's all about diphenhydramine.tscottme Thanks this.
