Does anyone know a doctor to go to get a DOT Physical that will overlook BMI for doing a sleep study? I recently took a reduced position driving to focus on losing weight. But my paycheck has also taken a hit. I don't have insurance. A sleep study costs too much for what I'm making, let alone a machine if I have sleep apnea. I have 2 weeks left on a 90 day physical. I'm based in Tucson, AZ. But I'm willing to drive to Phoenix, Yuma, even San Diego, LA, El Paso, etc if absolutely need be. Trucking is all I know, I'm screwed without it.

Check around; try CVS Pharmacy; they give DOT physicals.
Not positive, but I think Schneider pays for or finances a CPAP machine.
Here's a website that may help if you end up having to do the CPAP out of pocket.

Go to a place where the locals fuel, maybe the TTT. Maybe a big fat guy. Ask them about the docs they go to.

Prime finances them as well. Glad I don't get tested; I'm sure I'd fail, tbh.

If you need a cpap, look on craigslist. I got a newly new one for $100. Had less than 20 hrs on it. Guys father had passed away and he was selling it. Got a new mask online for $65. Instructions online to set them up.

Dang ya, don't tell my wife...she'll just buy it for me. I'm not OTR but I probably need one, LoL!

I passed a billboard near Manchester, Tn today on 24 going west that had some alternative to CPAP for CDL guys. Maybe one of these guys will get the number next time they go by.
