DOT Putting Drivers On Blast For Unsafe Equipment

Maintenance? what's that? These guys don't have time for maintenance when they're chasing $1.70 freight to cover all current costs.

I walked past a truck last week that had oil splashed around both rear rims and his trailer was pissing out air from somewhere underneath while he was parked there.

 

A few years ago I stopped in a rest area, and parked at the spot at the end. As I was walking past the rear of the trailers parked in line I was amazed at the number of under inflated tires, bald tires, worn out brakes, leaking wheel seals and missing mudflaps I saw. And a few of these trailers were from mega carriers.

The trucks weren't much better looking

Doesn't anyone look at this stuff before sending it down the road?

 

And these are the kind of idiots driving out here along side of us and our families on a daily basis.

Drivers want to whine about being hassled by the DOT, this is why we need DOT inspections and enforcement.

 

This unit pictured here rolled into Hearst Ontario this morning,,,obviously travelled a few miles in this condition,,.pulled up in front of truck repair facility. The usual suspects at the helm.

 

Can’t spot anything wrong there. Think they got the backwards maybe? Lol
