I always have a 3" folder clipped to my front pocket. Never been an issue.
-
And it will never come...
I delivered once to Pendleton State Prison in Indiana and I believed they did search but it was like a 60 second search...
I wouldn't consider that your every day "shipper or receiver"HorseShoe Thanks this. -
I just bobtailed accross hoover dam. The officer looked in my sidebox and poked his head in the cab. That's it.

I've delivered to many prisons - usually get a lock box to store items that they don't allow (weapons, phone). 1 guard gets in truck, opens cabinet, closes it, gets back out, gate opens. On my way out, guard gets back in, checks for prisoners, i get my stuff back

5 sec search on net. I'm retired cop from Minnesota. The mn law summary looks right to me so hopefully the rest is also correct.Erik Blazer Thanks this. -
I used to deliver to the prison weld shop in Pendleton at least once a week. I always wondered what they were doing with all that square tubing.HalpinUout Thanks this.

Yup that's the shop I delivered to... It was stuff I picked up in Mississippi.... When leaving you get out of your truck before the gate stand with hands in the air for 60 seconds then get back in and pull between the 2 sets of gates so the guard could do her check of the rig... -
Most military bases will search your truck. Get mine searched 2 to 3 times per week.
Delivered to a Coca-Cola plant a few years back. They made a cursory search. But they were looking for illegal fluids (Pepsi, 7-Up, etc). Made me throw away my just opened Mt. Dew and agree not to open my fridge for another while on their property. -
At the oilsand mines up here, security can search your truck when entering/exiting the site. I've been searched 2 or 3 times in the last 5 years.
