If I had ever even suggested it, members if this forum would jump all over me for "playing that card" and swear up and down that we have it EASIER, not worse than them. So I will refrain from posting my own suspicions.
In fairness, at Kittery they were putting that ballistics dog through every truck, not just ours.
In Calais, the K9 handlers were all women that day, so unless they just like picking on their own...
In Windsor, he showed me the computer screen where it came up as a random stop. He seemed apologetic, even though it took all of 5 mins.

Question about the gun part I read that was illegal unless it was like locked under the bunk and stuff. I have a concealed license. Is it still illegal? Also how would this go if I went into a port? Or other otherwise secure area like crossing into Canada -
Holy mother of disinformation thread. Plenty of people quoting laws from their state, or misinterpretations of those laws.
The fact is that there are no federal laws against having a knife in your truck, on your person, whatever. State laws vary wildly, and many states do not preempt cities from their own laws, so some areas have some very draconian laws. Oklahoma appears to ban carrying a dagger in your vehicle. That would seem to apply, and that is just one example. I would put a lot of research into the subject if I were you.Chewy352 Thanks this. -
In some states, a 4" long fixed blade is legal. In others, illegal. In some states, you can carry a folder in your pocket, as long as the pocket clip is visible. In others, it's considered a "Concealed weapon" regardless if the pocket clip is visible or not.
I would advise this - if you go through a coop, and they tell you to pull around and park, just leave the blade in your truck.
