As I road along today I figured out a legal and compliant way to keep my logs with out using the portal third party off site server.
All I have to do is print my 8 day logs off from my VDO in inspection mode every 8 days and then keep the printed paper in a file at my place of business.
Then after they get older than six months I get rid of them the old fashioned way with no electronic trail generated.
Totally legal and compliant.
As far as I know there is no law saying you must store logs off site on a third party server.
