Ran up there for last 2 years. Western montana to seattle mostly.. Montana scales are hard to get around... And the routes that get you around they get creative and set up portables... Basstards.. Funny - this end of Idaho they set up rovers often, but I have yet to see them ever lay down portable scales, even when the tater freighters are in season. Usually run your plate, check turn signals and brake lights, and away you go. Why avoid the scale? Are you not running legal? If your truck/trailer can't pass a DOT inspection, maybe it should be parked.
