OK awesome because a private school that I might join said they will be charging me extra for those. Should I not do it with them and just do them on my own on the Internet? or how do I do them? Thanx!

or maybe they will help me get them for free included in my training or what do you think is going to happen? Because you said I can do those on my own right?

You practice tests on internet (or book/booklets).

You take the tests at DMV. May be small fee.

    austinmike and DexterSaintJock Thank this.

So someone told me to get hazmat tankers doubles and triples. Should I get any more than that? I also want to do the certificate for driving passengers if I ever need to....so do I do that on the Internet as well and take that test at the DMV as well? Which certificates are the most expensive?

Definitely hazmat, tanker & doubles/triples for trucking.

Makes you that much more versatile & opens up many more load options.

Even some household/grocery is minor haz. And, van/reefer often get multiple large liquid totes (big box tanks) that require tanker. Even though it is not actually a tanker. Think sloshing liquids/weight in large containers.

Passenger stuff up to you for buses.

    Ah yes,

Forgot you are coming from entertainment.

Man, I'm getting closer & closer to deciding to go that way myself.

When I was in school I was told not to go for any endorsements until after passing the driving exam because the examiner could go extra hard on you if they see you have endorsements. Im not sure how true that is.

The hazmat endorsement is the most expensive. It requires TSA clearance which is around $150 plus the written test.

    Interesting,

Never heard that. Can't imagine how the examiner can go extra hard on you. You ether pass or not. Pretty cut & dry.

I forgot about TWIC needed. Been awhile. Good mention.

Thats just what they told me when I was in school. It might be the backwards state I took the test in though.

You dont need TWIC for a hazmat endorsement. The TWIC is something else
