2064 loads in 19 years. No damages. Regular old load locks for Reefer. Round adjustable poke w/rubber feet on ends. Found at most Truck Stops. Often found on docks, when other drivers leave them behind. Lot of Shippers will give them away. Sometimes Truckers sell them cheap, over the CB. I had a few, couldn’t give them away. Threw them out. Keep eyes open. You might find them laying around a Truck stop. I think they’re about $40 at Truck Stops. The Company should buy you some if Shipper requires them.
More than that now at truck stops. I’m a company guy, so I get them at a terminal. Or buy at truckstop and submit receipt for reimbursement.
I had a Pepsi Load not long ago. Somewhere near Muskegon. Broker was pushing me to get there. Couple hours DH. Got there and they needed 4 Load Locks. Gave me a map to Pilot 40 miles away. I had passed it getting there. No one cared enough to communicate. Shipper was rude. Big Red Flag. I cancelled and DH 220 miles home. Let them worry about it.
24 years in ltl for Xpo loading trailers. You never use load locks to build decks.we moved full trailers of dog food and animal feed all the time, the trailers had load table systems built into the walls to support the weight. That product always shifts. We always were shovelling up dog food once we were done breaking the trailers!
I can tell you for sure that tst-cf express loads pallets on top of load bars the whole length of the trailer . same for knoll north America which makes products like kitchen/ bathroom cabinets
