Sounds like you are looking at aerodynamics similar to Airflow truck. Look them up on Google. Prototype got over 13 mpg.
csmith1281 and double yellow Thank this. -
Similar, yeah. Here's a pic for those who haven't seen it:
![[IMG]](proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.thecarconnection.com%2Flrg%2Fairflow-bullettruck-images-airflow-truck-company_100451653_l.jpg&hash=f7f4454ef308930c34723c68b2821d71)
But I don't think I'll ever adopt a nose cone -- too impractical for OTR truck stops (and some tight shippers). And I'll focus more on the gap between tractor & trailer.
Besides, physics tells us that what is at the rear of the object matters most in aerodynamics -- que "Backdraft Binder:"

And I'd like to single out Rollin Coal again; without his advice, I would not have been able to book my first $4+/mile load yesterday -- from a reviled 3-letter big brokerage, no less! I look forward to posting the details when I have more time (and yes, Skate-Board, it is going to an area where I probably won't get $2 coming out).
Thanks again everyone!csmith1281, HellStomper116, truckergalchi and 14 others Thank this. -
So what? We're playing the long game here, not calling it after the next load. That would be like punting the ball on 3rd down and 1, because your running back got stuffed at the line of scrimmage on 2nd down. Just keep the lower-rate loads as short as possible to get into a better freight area, and keep on truckin'.csmith1281 Thanks this.

Shhhhhh. They think us van guys work for cheap and this is truck stop diner counter talk.

I hope for your sake it's not going to New Brunswick. Apparently they don't have the weather network here and this storm was a complete surprise.
I wish the ramblinman were here so he could see how to drive on some slippery ice not that girly sticky ice he's used too LOL.csmith1281 Thanks this. -
LOL. NO!!!!
