I posted this in another topic area but now feel this is a better place to start. Are any of you pulling double containers?

The closest I've seen to that so far was the very rare intermodal trailer used by UPS.

Where do you live? The only place you see double containers is in the NW. Sometimes a 40 and a 20 on a pup.

I live near Jacksonville, FL . I'm from Michigan and I used to see them all the time up there. I hauled a gravel train and lowboy in Michigan and from time to time I'll see a B-train or double containers rolling on I-95. I just wondered who I could get on with pulling doubles down here?

Beirut on the Bay, also known as Bodymore, Murderland.
Anyhoo, it's been years since I've seen one of those, but there's no mistaking a pup with a frame rail under it. That would definitely have to be an intermodal deal. -
I've seen double/tandem 20's on the Turnpike in NJ. It had to be company owned equipment because none of the lease chassis' at the port facilities have the pintle hooks and air/electrical connections at the back.
They also have the flex chassis where you can mount either a single 40, single heavy 20 or two light 20's. Those are more common. -
Yeah, but it was close to 50 years ago! A friend of my dad's owned 5 or 6 2 axle international cabovers with Jimmies, and a couple of 1947 K model gas rigs. I rode with my dad and we, oops, he pulled a single 20' Matson with pineapples. The 318s would pull doubles.
Except for that company that @Brandonpdx saw in New Jersey, I've never seen anyone else doing it. -
We used to on occasion run doubles, 20' Hanjins to a customer in Nebraska, haven't done that in years though. Very few 20' chasses have pintles and hookups any more. Recently saw a 40' Kline chassis with a pintle and air lines on the back, thought I was seeing things. When I looked closer, there were no airlines running to the back.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
