I am new to this forum and I'm not even sure if he is on this board.He does have a forum on his business website.On his forum there is a shoutbox for live/realtime chat.You can try to catch him there.

 

I can say this. I have called Doug and got him on thefirst ring. we talked for over an hour. I sent all 5 radios in that day. Dougfell off the face of the earth. Didn’t take calls, no emails for almost 2weeks. I was sweating big time.

OK today I received my radios today. He did, check all radios for any problems;add an rfx, made sure the swr is where it needs to be not at less than 2 likeothers and the swr meters don’t work. I hooked my cobra29 lx with a 102"whip. I can B1tch slap someone with 105w swing.

Right now Doug is a one man band but the best in the biz. I have the 5 rigs toprove it. Plus I thought the same thing until I looked on his FB page to findout his family has medical problems and that’s why he was not able to get backto me. But he sent the radios......right. CUT the guy some slack. He gets 100sof duma$$ calling every day and it’s hard for him to get anything done. He istrying to do a web site and do table work all by himself.

Dude trust in that his work is impeccable.

 

Not understanding here......you sent your radios to him and he checked your SWR?????????

 

He failed to mention.He sent his vehicle & antenna also.

 

Sorry I was at work and in a hurry.
He installed an rfx75 other techs set the dead key at less than 2w. The SWR cal. will not work less than 2w. So for the radio and antenna to be set, "swr" The dead key needs to be above 2w.

So he check all the radios to make sure they work because all the radios were used except 1 which was out of the box. Also tuned and did the RX upgrade that no one else dose that I saw. But that is beside the point. The point is to answer the first post. Doug is spot on, and yes he is shorthanded. His work is outstanding.

My rig BARKS LOUD. I had a guy last night on my way home argue with me saying it’s not a CB. Whatever, I am so happy with the work he has done. So what if he does not have a secretary. He does awesome work.

 

Yes he does! I have done alot of business with Doug as well as sending him many radios that were not mine for repair, always spot on. He is a busy man and the best time to reach him is at 9:00 A.M. or shortly after. LEAVE A MESSAGE and he WILL call you back that day, it may be at 8:00 in the evening but he will call. To date I have offered 5 times to those on the fence " Send it to Doug and if you are not happy I will pay for the repair and buy you a new radio" Never had to pay yet.

 

Can someone give me this Doug's contact or somewhere to reach him pls. I have a radio I need work done on..
