    As I explained above, not necessarily. But I don't expect you to understand because you have never driven a truck so just keep spouting off like you know it all.

    Progressive shifting means shift points will change as you go through the gear. For new company drivers (or any driver getting in a new truck) you can refer either to the hard copy manual that will be in the truck (or on the internet), look up recommended shift points from the manufacturer, or get used to where the little lady likes to shift by yourself. Generally speaking the higher the gear the higher the rpm's. Each truck is different.
