I had a Cat D4 dozer hooked to a Army 6X6 with a Joy Core drill on it many times. We used a D7 on the Chicago Pneumatic T-650 air rotary.

In Raleigh county WV I put chains on the rear axle of a 1996 F250 diesel 4x4 every morning, even in dry weather. In the mines, you don’t spend big $$ on roads, you spend big $$ on drilling so you know which way the seem of coal goes.

Nothing to drill 1200+ feet on the side of a hill just so they can Drop a camera and X-ray the hole all the way down.

And the holes were referred to as…. Elog holes, makes me wonder if there’s a connection lol….

I downshift like the OP is talking about all the time in my wife’s Toyota Highlander.
