    Hello.

    For some reason my DPF and check engine light have come on and won't go off... But guess what, it won't let me regen... If anyone who's experienced this or knows more about these symptoms could tell me some advice I would appreciate that, I'm a new o/o on a low budget at the moment, and I'm thinking about just getting the filter cleaned, but I don't want to get ripped off, or leave something out that works along with the DPF system... Thanks in advance

    There is a thread with a lot of info on this truck/ motor look up Rawze threads or CM 871 motor in search bar. As i have the same truck with the same issues. Look at this thread before you do anything to your truck!!

    How many miles do you have on this truck?? They talk about all kinds of sensors that should be looked at and cleaned. He calls it an egr tune up.

    530,000mi, I just got my ECM read at TA and my active codes are as follows...

    (PID 131) - flash code 2374-Exhaust gas pressure sensor circuit,voltage below normal.low signal detected at the exhaust gas pressure circuit. This code ran 21 times

    (SID 324) - flash code 1921,or 1922,or 1981, or 2639 -Aftertreatment diesel Particulate filter differential pressure-data valid but above normal operational range. The soot load of the Aftertreatment diesel particulate filter has exceeded it's recommended limits.

    (SPN 3251) - flash code 1981,or 2639 - Aftertreatment particulate filter differential pressure- data valid but above normal operational range- least severe level. The Aftertreatment differential pressure has exceeded the maximum operating limits or the diesel particulate filter is plugged. Or the soot load of the Aftertreatment diesel particulate filter has exceeded the recommended limits...

    And the last two codes both ran only twice, but are all active. I think I just need a good cleaning hopefully. I've only had the truck for about 3.5 months...

    Did you look at the thread I suggested. I only have 350000 miles and had my truck for 5 months!! I cleaned all sensors and did what was suggested. Only to find out that my truck needed a complete over haul.!!! Cummins has it as we speak. The pistons and rings and liners were all wore out putting blow by through the systems causing all the codes and shutdown of motor loosing oil pressure at 10000 miles. I hope you dont have this problem but cummins has seen this happen to some of there motors where there was completely lack of maintenance. I am getting the truck back on Thursday. I will let you know how it runs when I get it back and also the clean the whole egr egr system. It is covered under warranty. Thank god!! This would of put me out of business as it is costing cummins 14000 dollars to do this whole job. I talked to alot of people and Any way that is what I am dealing with good luck!!

    Did you attempt a parked regen or did you keep driving it?

    Heavy D isnt this amazing all the same stuff i am dealing with. Besides Rawze i have not heard anything good about this model or motor?? Maybe when i get mine back from shop i should just trade it in as fast as possible??
