I took it to Peterbilt on my way home from Iowa. I figured codes would be stored. They said none were there. Seems odd that it would not store a code. But then he said no active codes were there. So maybe there were inactive codes since the light was not on at the time.
I'm on my way back to the shop so mechanic can pop out and take a quick look at connections. He knows what he unplugged etc... If that dont help I'll have to go somewhere else that has a computer that will hook up to my truck. His won't connect to it for some reason. I tried checking connections myself. This is something that you try to do yourself to save money before you take it into the shop. Visually inspect the connections for corrosion and make sure they're all secure. Inspect the wire for any breaks or missing insulation, or areas where zip ties might kink it too much. Check the plugs and pins to make sure they're connected properly. Find a helper to watch the DEF gauge while gently wiggling the wires to see if it drops to zero. If you know how to use a multimeter, even better.

By deleting the system, you might only be masking another issue with the truck. It could be a number of other things, like injectors or EGR. But I guess it would be easier to just delete it, and then blame the guy who deleted it for doing a hack job if that's the case.

You can get a ghost code
I also have a MX13 510
I know it’s not the best system but you can get a OTR for $800
Covers the first year of subscription then like $600 per year after that

I have one. It can read codes. Delete them and do a forced regen
Again. A simple program but it will save all those shop runs and for $50 a month seems worth it
