Looking professional goes hand in hand with being professional. I'm just starting out and the one thing that has stuck out is how many drivers don't look any better than transients living under a bridge. It was quite a shock. As a small business owner, I've had deliveries from folks who looked professional and those who didn't. I think it is and indication of the credibility of the driver and the company.
Thank you for your service and good luck.

hmmm, this is something i'll certainly have to remember at the moment my main choice of footwear is some side zip black duty boots and if the weather is too wet and slushy then some snow boots, i'll need to looking into some fireman's boots.
got my blue jeans, dickies, cargo shorts, thermals, couple cold weather jackets and various other things, try to look professional but i'm a cold weather boy and most of the southerns states will have me breaking out my cargo shorts and T-shirt so i don't drip all over the customers warehouse floor.
but thanks guys, this info will hopefully help me in the future. -
I've been wearing my 5.11 long sleeve shirts. You can wear them with jeans and they look professional, yet they are still work shirts. Right now I drive in tennis shoes because I get better feel for the pedals. Once I get the shifting figured out better, I'll find something a bit nicer to wear. Shave and shower regularly and you'll be way ahead of the game.

As I rule, I wear a dickies workshirt, pair of jean (no holes), wellington work boots. and my slightly battered western hat. On a hot day I might swap to a pocketed t-shirt. I always try to look clean and professsional out here ( unless I just chained...). Most of the time it pays off in small ways.

Was at the Pilot in Hesperia California yesterday. Saw a CRST driver in the store. About 550#, ratty old hole riddled t-shirt, dirty sweat pants with a hole in the side, slipper looking shoes, dirty hands and greasy hair.
I never had an opinion about CRST until now. Nuff said! -
I have to say that while walmart is great and all, i'd highly recommend going to costco for some winter jackets and thermals, i went and i got some really nice, good quality stuff for surprisingly cheap. bulk socks both thin and very thick.
granted it also helps that they've got bulk foods, but that's a different topic. -
don't have much of an opinion for CRST, but that alone would do nothing but bad things for my opinion of them.
